nzGN Usage Policy. Updated: 9th August 2010

By registering an account on NZGN or using any of the services offered by NZGN you agree to abide by this policy:

1. No obscene or vulgar posts or comments, keep Swearing to a minimum;
2. No pornographic posts, images or links to sites that contain pornographic material;
3. Don't be hateful or threatening, No Personal attacks or abuse, Do not post personal information and/or other details that may be used for identity theft;
4. Keep Signatures to a reasonable size and do not use oversize text or graphics.
5. No posts containing copyrighted material or links to illegal copies of copyrighted material, NO WAREZ or TORRENTS or URLs to Torrent sites;
6. No Commercial Advertising without express permission of the senior admins.
7. Don't post anything that violates any of the laws of New Zealand.
8. No persons under 16 are to register or post in these forums.

nzGN employees several Admins and Moderators. The job of these members is to ensure that the use of nzGN and its associated Network is enjoyable for all. So please people use common sense and lets have fun

Teamspeak:

The Teamspeak server(Hereby known as The Service) located at ts.nzgn.co.nz is for the use of any person who wishes to use it. But as this service is provided free to you as members, we have set some guidelines.

1.   By entering the server you agree to abide by these guidelines while you are in the server and its associated channels.
2.   As a user of the service you agree to respect other users of the service at all times.
3.   As a user of the service you agree to keep offensive language to a min.
4.   As a user of the service you agree not to discuss any activities that may be illegal or in breach of any laws of New Zealand.
5.   As a user of the service you agree not to attempt or carry out any spam or similar attack on the server or its channels.
6.   As a user of the service you agree to respect the abilities and powers of the administrators.
7.   As this service is provided free and without charge, it can and sometimes will be shut down for maintenance or other services as required.
8.   If you as a user of this service disrupt or abuse the operation or use of this service by other members/users, you will be muted, kicked or banned as the admins see fit.
9.   If at any time you have been muted, kicked or banned and feel that this action is unfair or unwarranted then you may post in the NZGN TeamSpeak forums for a senior admin to review the mute/kick/ban. Only one appeal can be lodged and the decision of the Senior NZGN admins is final.
10.   The NZGN TeamSpeak server is provided solely for the use of New Zealanders, While users from overseas are permitted to enter and join in discussions, if at any time an admin considers an overseas user to be degrading the service, then said overseas user will be kicked.

Requesting a channel:

As NZGN offers this service free of charge to members of the NZGN community, we offer members the chance to have their own channel or group of channels on the server.

1.   By requesting a channel on the NZGN Teamspeak server you agree by the guidelines set out in this document.
2.   By requesting a channel on the NZGN Teamspeak server you must provide information to NZGN that is required in the setup and administration of the server.
3.   You as the user requesting the channel are responsible for all conduct in and use of the channel requested.
4.   As the user requesting the channel you will be given Channel Administrator rights within the channel. You may Mute/Kick/Ban as you see fit, but within these guidelines. You may be asked to explain a ban or Kick to the NZGN senior admins.
5.   At any time the requested channel can be removed by the NZGN Administrators if they feel that you are abusing the service offered to you.
6.   If a channel requested has not been used for more than 90 days it will be removed without warning.
7.   If you no longer require a requested channel, contact the admins to have a channel removed.
8.   A channel Administrator may password their channel as needed.
9.     This document is open to change at any time with notice of a change or update posted to the NZGN website and comes into effect immediately.
