So you want to use TeamSpeak but your not sure how to?

Well this is where we will show you how.

First off you will need to download TeamSpeak 3 client software from TeamSpeak’s Website. Download the version that matches your Operating System, 32bit or 64bit. You can also get TeamSpeak 3 for Linux and MacOS from the same site.

Once you have downloaded the software, you will need one or two pieces of hardware for your computer. A Microphone, or a Headset. These are available realitively cheaply from Trademe or from The Warehouse or Dick Smiths. Other computer stores may also have them as well. If you use a Laptop, it will more than likely have a Microphone built in.

Find the TeamSpeak software on your computer, where you downloaded it to and open it. Run through the screens following the onscreen instructions.

Once you have completed the install, you will now have a TeamSpeak Wizard open, this will guide you through the process of setting up TeamSpeak to work on your computer. You should have your Microphone or HeadSet plugged in to complete this.

If you are having issues with the install process, please feel free to start a thread on the NZGN forums asking for help or use TeamSpeak’s Support forums.

Note:

One of the questions you will be asked is if you want to use PTT or Push to Talk. We advise you do use this as Voice Activated Talk can and generally annoys people because of background noise or especially when you are eating with the headset or mic on as it will transmit your chewing on to the server. While this isn’t a requirement, it is advisable. If people start complaining to the admins that this is happening, then eventually an admin may mute you on the server so that people can’t hear you.
